What is S3 object storage?
S3 object storage keeps your data as objects in buckets, addressed over a simple HTTP API, rather than as files on a disk or blocks on a volume. It scales past the limits of a fixed disk, and almost every modern backup and sync tool can write to it. Our endpoint implements the standard S3 API, so anything built for Amazon S3 works against ours with no code changes. You point your tool at our endpoint, add your access keys, and it just works.

How much does S3 object storage cost?
From £20 per TB per month on a 36-month term, £22 on 12 months, or £25 month to month. You're billed on actual usage in 0.5TB or 50GB increments, with no minimum-capacity charge, no egress fees and no API or request fees. Prices exclude VAT. Wholesale MSP rates are available for resellers.
Can I use it with Veeam?
Yes. Our endpoint works as an S3-compatible capacity tier or backup repository for Veeam Backup & Replication, and it pairs with our Veeam Cloud Connect service. Add the endpoint and keys in Veeam and point your jobs at it. It also works with Synology and QNAP NAS, Restic, Duplicati, Rclone and any other S3-aware tool.
Are there egress or API fees?
No. There are no egress fees, no per-request API fees and no minimum-capacity billing. Restores and DR tests cost nothing extra. Those hidden charges are where commodity object storage budgets quietly overrun, and we don't have them.
Where is the storage hosted?
In our own ISO 27001 certified data centre in Sheffield, with UK data residency. The same UK team that runs the data centre supports the service. Your data does not leave the UK.
Is it really S3-compatible, will my S3 tool work?
Yes. It implements the standard S3 API, so anything written for Amazon S3 works against our endpoint with no code changes, you just change the endpoint URL and keys. If you'd like us to confirm a specific tool before you commit, send us the details and we'll check.
How is it billed, and is there a minimum?
You're billed on the storage you actually use, in 0.5TB or 50GB increments, with no minimum-capacity charge. Pricing is fixed in GBP for your contract term, so there's no USD exposure or FX surprise at renewal. Longer terms earn a discount: £25/TB monthly, £22 on 12 months, £20 on 36 months.
How does it compare to Wasabi or Backblaze B2?
On sticker price the cheapest commodity providers can look lower, but they add egress charges, per-request API fees and minimum-capacity billing, which our pricing doesn't include. We're also priced in GBP and fixed for your term (no USD/FX risk), with UK data residency, an ISO 27001 UK data centre and UK support. In real terms, once restores, DR tests and request fees are counted, we usually come out ahead.
